I have been working in the energy industry for 18 months now, starting my career in customer support for British Gas. I have decided to combine my knowledge gained in British Gas with former engineering experience and completed DNGA1 course which is equivalent to NVQ lvl 3 diploma. I currently hold the following certificates:
- CCN1 - Core Domestic Gas Safety
- CPA1 Combustion Performance Analysis
- CENWAT Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
- CKR1 Domestic Cooking Appliances
- HTR1 Fires & Wall Heaters
- MET1 Domestic Gas Meters up to 6 m3
- HWSS Hot Water Systems and Safety (including G3 unvented HWS)
During my apprenticeship I have serviced and fixed over 100 boilers, assisting an engineer that worked for Scottish Power contracts. I frequently take part in training sessions organised by boiler manufacturers (Vokera, Vaillaint, Baxi, Glow Worm, Worcester, etc) in order to improve my knowledge about new boilers, their installation, service and repair.
